There’s no denying that the presence of pets in our lives has been one of the silver-linings of the pandemic. The Zip team quickly learned that our new work-from-home situation would become good (or not so good…) news for our special creatures. And, we have to admit, we certainly don’t mind when they make their on-screen cameos either.
You may recall our resident office dogs, who are all very important and play integral roles on the team. We miss seeing our favorite four-legged friends in the office, but working remotely has allowed us to expand the pet portion of our team well beyond just the canine variety.
I’ll let the pets of Zip employees speak for themselves on what they enjoy most (or not at all) about their humans being home with them.
Bork
I am so glad I joined the Fabric team this year. When I’m not busy with important Zoom meetings (on camera, of course), I’m walking across the keyboard and slack messaging my work besties. It’s a pretty good gig.
Kalabar & Clementine
We know, we’re not your average pets—we’re better! We spend most of our workday as you’d expect: building webs, supporting Fabric customers, sunbathing, and obviously just being cute. We keep quarantine life exciting and look forward to more friends joining our enclosure.

I’m on the marketing team and I take my job pretty seriously. However, my human on the other hand has zero sense of time management—doesn’t she know that when the clock strikes 5 pm it means it’s my dinner time? Obviously not. I love her, but hasn’t she ever heard of work-life balance?
Hooch
By day: I manage security and compliance. By night: I wake my human up at dreadful hours. What can I say? I’m just passionate about my job and keeping things secure for the folks at Fabric.
Toby
I’m not much of an office dog, so work-from-home life with my mom has been AWESOME. It’s super important to take mental breaks during the day to ensure we’re at our best for our customers. My mom and I love taking long walkies over lunch and soaking up those warm summer days (man, I sure miss those). I LOVE quarantine.
Teddy Errickson
I recently got a new gig at home, it’s project supervisor. My humans are doing some remodeling so I’ve taken it upon myself to ensure the contractors are doing what they’re supposed to. Someone’s gotta do it, right? I make sure to make myself available, though, in case my mom needs some help with any new features on the Fabric platform.
Cinnamon
I’m on the clinical content team. I may not be an RN like my human, but I definitely know a thing or two about…whatever it is she does. Let’s be honest, I’m really just in it for the treats (Honey Nut Cheerios are my jam).

Long time Fabris employee here. I’ve recently taken on a new role with Fabric as a Relaxation Analyst. I do extensive research on the power of exercise for optimal productivity. But first, we nap.

I may only be able to type 3(ish) words-per-minute but I’m an invaluable asset to the implementation team. Can’t you just tell by looking at me?

Not to brag, but I’m kind of a big deal. I’m what you humans would call a jack of all trades—no task is too big or small for me to get my paws on. 2020 may be the year of the dog…but I’m already looking ahead. I can’t wait for our new Canine Business Line release in 2021.
Aura ‘the Explora’
From morning until night, the fun doesn’t stop. I might not be Fabric's most productive employee, but I’m definitely the most fun. I like to stay on guard, watching for those pesky squirrels. When I’m not doing that, I’m letting my humans know that is most definitely time to play.

I’ve always been one to grab life by the whiskers, to pull myself up by my paw-straps, and to take what I want. When my coworker, Trevor, mentioned he might want a standing desk I knew it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up!

Let’s face it, it’s been a pretty ruff year. But it has been great having my mom home to take care of me. I hope she never goes back to work because if she’s not around all day…who’s gonna say “SOOO BIG!” every time I take a stretch after a nap?
