Thanksgiving is upon us and the pandemic is still very much with us. It is a holiday season unlike any other and for most people it will look much different than years past.

This year has been a challenge for everyone—we’ve struggled, we’ve adapted, and we’ve persevered. But, even as we work to fight the spread of COVID-19, we still have so much for which to be thankful.

Our Zipnosis employees took some time to reflect and share what they’re extra thankful for this year. From pets, to work from home perks, take a look at how Zipsters are finding gratitude:

I’m thankful for my non-existent commute and the opportunity to wear comfy pants 24/7.

Priscilla Gyamfi

Software Engineer in Test

I’m thankful for being able to work remotely and stay safe during COVID, it helps not only my physical, but mental health knowing I will be less exposed to others. I’m also thankful for Animal Crossing coming out for the Nintendo Switch this year because it saved my sanity!

Caitlin Davis

Technical Support Specialist

I’m thankful for my coworker, Leo! Leo has been an excellent sounding board for new ideas, a long-time advocate for my mental health, and an all-around excellent role model. He might not work as hard as he could sometimes, but I don’t expect much more from a short-hair tabby.

Trevor Stansberry

Sr. Marketing Operations Specialist

Hearing my son’s laughter every day.

Danielle Nelson

Customer Success Manager

I’m thankful for being able to join such an amazing team that’s had a positive impact across the country during these difficult times!

Brad Bertram

Technical Support Specialist

Even in this season of change and uncertainty, I’m thankful for the (forced) opportunity to slow down and spend some time at home developing hobbies such as coffee roasting, sourdough, and kayaking.

Kate Frame

Project Coordinator

I’m grateful for the ability to stay home with my son as he completes distance learning this year due to COVID-19. It is great having one concern off my plate during these trying times.

Shelly Rach

Technical Support Specialist

I’m thankful to have been consistently employed through COVID-19, while many of my friends have been out of work for weeks and months. I’m also thankful for my husband and cat who have provided an immense amount of support and entertainment throughout quarantine. I’m thankful my friends and family have remained safe and healthy throughout the pandemic, and that my dad was able to survive COVID-19 while going through his cancer treatments.

Alyson Maslowski

Data Analyst

With having a newborn and a toddler, I am thankful for the opportunity to work remotely. I get to spend more time with my kids throughout the day and over a typical work week.

Spat Rajbhandari

Sr. Clinical Informatics Supervisor

I am thankful to live and work in a community where people are willing to help others in need. COVID-19 has flipped our worlds upside down, and it’s so important more than ever to look out for those who may be struggling during this tough time. I am thankful to have family, friends, and fellow co-workers with big hearts and caring souls.

Melissa Ranney

Customer Success Manager

I am thankful for my family & friends’ health during these uncertain times, as well as the opportunity to work alongside a group of people so dedicated toward improving healthcare for all those around us.

Will Gillach

Business Development Representative

Thankful for new beginnings! Going into this year, I didn’t expect to be where I am now. I am thankful to find a company that presents me with new challenges every day. Zipnosis has pushed me to be more well-rounded and shows me areas I need to continue to learn in.

Mason Muntz

Security and Compliance Analyst

This year, I’m exceptionally thankful my cat and I have found ways to coexist through this period of work-from-home—despite his incessant need to walk across my keyboard during meetings.

I’m also grateful for Slack, parrot emojis, and the Zipnosis virtual events and activities that allow us to connect despite being apart. Living and working alone has been hard this year, but having good humored colleagues to interact with each day has made the time so much more enjoyable.

Anne Sandell

Content & Communications Specialist

I’m thankful for…who I’m not—the doctors and nurses on the frontlines; the teachers trying to navigate distance learning; the parents (well, I’m a dog mom but in this instance it’s not the same) forced to make tough decisions for their families; grocery store clerks dealing with what I imagine being the worst of customers. To all these people, I want to say thank you. There are a lot of us who appreciate what you do. We just don’t tell you enough.

Mariah Lusian

Sr. Copywriter

Stretchy pants…and coffee.
